WELCOME TO SPA DE VIE
A multiple sclerosis day spa celebrating life.
Spa de Vie is a multiple sclerosis day spa with a residential area where a celebration of life takes place daily.
The overall inspiration for this day spa was a single lavender sprig.
Pulling from the purple and green hues, as well as the slight curvilinear lines, a modern refreshing environment was created. Additionally, French inspirations were brought in through furnishings and wall coverings.
During this project, I first had to develop the floorplan. I was given a list of necessary spaces for this day sap and was tasked with fitting them into this space. This was a great experience to think creatively and in a unique way, to fit everything in. It was also a great opportunity for me to lay out a floorplan according to ADA codes and regulations, keeping in mind this would be a medical facility. After developing the floorplan, I began on the FF&E. After doing some research on French furnishings and architecture, I began with the residence. I chose items that would show the concept in a big, sophisticated way. I stuck with gold accents and neutral colors, throwing in the purple and green hues in eye-catching ways. After finishing the residence, I moved on to the day spa area. Beginnings in the reception/waiting area and finishing in the reflection room, I brought the concept through in a unique and beautiful way. I chose furnishings and finishes that look appealing and delicate, but are durable enough for the environment they will be placed in. I also designed custom art and furnishings to pull everything together.
